She’s a veteran Texas DJ and ambassador of the Lone Star State music scene. DJ Gracie Chavez is doin’ it real big (DIRB!) pushing the crossover of music genres, playing a spectrum of sounds, and winning folks over. This mami is the perfect activity with a pedigree heavy enough to handle any party. She co-founded and leads up Bombón, one of the region's hottest tropical bass crews and record label. She is also the founding DJ workshop instructor for Girls Rock Camp Houston and founded Les Femmes, Texas’ best all-lady DJ crew. She holds DJ residencies at House of Blues for Gasolina, presented nationwide by Live Nation, and the Marriott Marquis Texas-shaped pool deck (2017-2019), to name a few.
Gracie also works as a producer, songwriter, contributing music writer, lecturer, panelist, activist, social media influencer, and radio show host. She’s performed for various festivals and conferences (Voodoo Fest 2017, SXSW Interactive + Music, Twitter 2020 Conference, Microsoft Women in Tech); opened for international artist Maluma; sporting events (Super Bowl 2017, Sports Illustrated Swimsuit), a political rally for Beto O'Rourke; and Women’s March for the State of Texas and locally (2017-2020); DJ Gracie Chavez continuously works on current and future branded events that push the sounds of tomorrow.
Her sharp skills and taste-making selections have also earned her Houston’s Best DJ (2016) title and influential out-of-town bookings making her a top choice for events nationwide. She has been nominated for various Music Awards, including Houston’s Best Club/DJ Night, back-to-back years (2014-2016, Houston Press). She’s also partnered with national brands like Twitter, Deep Eddy Vodka, Topo Chico, Chivas Regal US and Red Bull Music Academy as one of their chosen artists and brand ambassadors in the Southern region. Gracie has been represented by Scratch Music Group, the world’s leading DJ academy and agency founded by Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay.
